I found this photo on the Facebook of a woman who lives in the Bronx’s Mott Haven neighborhood. It was captioned “MOOD.” It was the most valuable find of an hour-long Facebook wander.

Tippi Hedren and family living with a pride of lions.

excuse me u have a lion in ur house

this is that shit i be talking about

white folks crazy

Does anyone else scroll through posts like this hoping that the caption will be something like “Tippy Hedren and her family lived with a pride of lions peaceably for five years. Then one day the lions acted like lions and massacred the Hedrens. They went right back to being peaceful afterwards, because they’re animals and you cannot prescribe rhyme or reason to their thoughts.”

I ain’t bitter. This ain’t about animal rights. White, black, not applicable here. I’m not even being contrarian. I’d probably kick it at a Lions n’ BBQ block party at the Hedrens. But this photo series is more than people, there’s also tasty tasty tasty hubris at risk of being gobbled up by the lions.

*i let out a long relieved sigh for not using “pride” as a pun here*

This is such a grand picture of Girl Talk that I had to share it. I try not to be too obsessive of a fan but..

Here he is at the All Points West Festival in Jersey City on 8/8/08. It was really said best in the Flickr comments on this photo: He is riding on a sea of people toward the Statue of Liberty. How dope is that?
